Shifts in priorities for both employees and companies emphasize the importance of flexible schedules and the development of hard and soft skills. According to the LinkedIn Learning's Report of 2022, companies have undergone structural changes and have increased their education budgets and providing more opportunities for training. Organizations recognize the pivotal role of investing in corporate education for talent retention, heightened productivity, increased profitability, and innovation. The long-term benefits of training are deemed essential for sustained company growth and future success. Directly impacting both employees by fostering professional growth and companies by enhancing human capital, investing in corporate education contributes to improved results and efficiency in internal processes.
Employee Wellbeing
The pandemic not only catapulted the digital revolution even further, but also sparked discussions about employees' well-being, both during and outside working hours. Due to the increase in training, employees need to find ways to manage their time and develop techniques to prevent a constant sense of overwhelm.
Benchmarking
During the research phase, we used Benchmarking to analyze existing course platforms in the market, aiming to compare them and identify key gamification elements. Our research encompassed two fronts: apps with gamification elements (spanning various themes like music, languages, programming, and physical exercises) and education platforms/courses with gamification elements, focusing on education on a more conventional sense (business courses, pre-college courses, corporate training).
For the Benchmarking analysis, we started with an exploratory research to scrutinize different products and their presentations. Subsequently, we mapped the frequently appearing elements and functionalities in each front, compiling them into tables for comparison and identification of prevalent features. This process enabled us to determine how we could enhance our users' training experience, offering a more complete and effective approach.
Furthermore, for a more comprehensive view of the features offered by education platforms, we selected the most relevant ones for the business and compared them across the platforms we analyzed. As a result, we were able to determine how we could provide our users with a more complete and effective training experience.
The Benchmarking analysis played a vital role in comprehending various companies and their positioning in the market, providing essential insights for our project.
